Empowering the lives of women and girls globally.

FEP’s mission is to empower and encourage a culture of giving back in the fashion community by supporting charities that work hard to transform the lives of women and girls globally. We aim to do this through our projects including selling sketchbooks which inform aspiring and professional designers alike about sustainable, ethical and socially conscious fashion design, while donating 100% of proceeds to three amazing organizations.

I was raised by a strong mother who always taught me to speak up, I never had difficulty leaving an uncomfortable situation or cutting eye contact; people used to call me cold. Girls need to learn that they’re allowed to say no and to speak up. This is what I work on in Africa with the girls, but the issue is global and I’m glad that women are speaking up and saying that we won’t put up with it anymore.

The realization that none of us are free if one person on this planet is enslaved is a hard reality for many of us to face. Educating ourselves on the issue and global statistics and consciously buying products that do no harm and leave no slavery footprint, is an amazing start for anyone wanting to join the abolitionist movement.

No country in the world can yet say they have achieved gender equality. These rights I consider to be human rights but I am one of the lucky ones. My life is a sheer privilege because my parents didn’t love me less because I was born a daughter. My school did not limit me because I was a girl.
